This project involves moving the fifth and sixth grade out of the elementary school and the seventh and eighth grade out of the existing jr/sr high to alleviate over crowding. McCowngordon will then construct a new addition for fifth through eighth grade, separating the 9-12 classrooms from the middle school wing by three gyms.
This construction solution was developed by McCownGordon as a result of community concern. It provides segregation for the younger grades, which will be instrumental in passing the bond. McCownGordon’s ability to listen intently to the concerns from the community provided direction for solutions by the facility assessment team. This ultimately resulted in a satisfied community that validated the projects through a successful bond vote.
