Pittsburg State University and McCownGordon host groundbreaking for new nursing education building
On April 14, 2022 Pittsburg State University and McCownGordon hosted a ground breaking for the new nursing education building. The $6 million project includes a new 10,000 square foot simulation hospital with a nurses’ station, four exam rooms, six hospital rooms, a control room, an observation area and supporting workspaces. The space also includes a multi-functional, active-learning classroom that seats 160, a specialized classroom for a digital cadaver, student study spaces equipped with the latest technology and selective renovation of the existing facility’s classrooms, meeting spaces and public areas. It’s planned for completion August 2023.
