During the course of construction, it was determined that the splash pad needed to be replaced. McCownGordon worked with the City, Confluence, and trade partners to replace the splash pad and stay within the Finnup Foundation grant.
Additionally, the McCownGordon team renovated the existing bathhouse which includes a new concession, administration area and multiple bathrooms.
Despite extensive cost options, minimal preconstruction time and a tight construction schedule, the McCownGordon team completed the project in less than 10 months, even with five weeks of lost time during the last 14 weeks of the project. Typically, this would have been a 14 to 15 month project and the slide vendor stated publicly that this project was the only one, out of 17, that opened on time this year.
