This adaptive reuse project involves converting the existing structure to support biofuel production, leveraging waste starch from MGP’s food ingredients operations in Atchison, KS. MGP engaged McCownGordon to undertake a comprehensive evaluation of the facility. Utilizing extensive laser scanning and 360-degree photography, McCownGordon created a detailed 3D model to inform the design and integration of new components necessary for the biofuel production process. This EPC project aims to transform an underutilized asset into a productive biofuel manufacturing facility, contributing to MGP’s sustainability goals and operational efficiency.
